Good day people !
I have finally read our Author friend Inderpreet Uppal's book: Generously Yours. For a debut book, it is pretty good :)
Read about the story at: Spotlight: Generously Yours by Inderpreet Uppal
Story:
The shy, bookish Diya is in love with the DIY guy Viren and believes that is enough to last a lifetime. But she is unprepared for what life has in store for them. Will Viren be able to solve this jumble? How should Diya carry on with life? Can she find or make herself anything without Viren?
What I liked:
Surprisingly a very very short story. But it is packed with a story of five years within its page.
Inderpreet Uppal has weaved a story which fleshes out the characters, their lives, their traits, how opposites attract and their love for each other.
The language is simple and flow is smooth. But being its short nature it left you asking for more.
The characters are just 2 and fill up the entire story. Loved how they grow with each page for the reader.
The description of the houses was so clear, I could visualize each part. The bougainvillea, the photo wall, bird feeder, kitchen all so clear in my imagination. Cozy home made by 2 people in love with each other and their special place.
The story left a heart breaking but warm feeling within you. The emotions are portrayed so realistic.
What I wanted more:
More of the story please. A full fledged novel, if you will. Inderpreet Uppal I am sure everyone is waiting to know more about Diya :)
Stay tuned for more books and reviews.
Bye.Take care
